The next semester of university started, which brought back the chittar-chatter and the chaos of the campus.

"Congrats, Bro," Mason Kessles congratulated as he wrapped his arm around his homie's neck.

"I knew it would be him, again." Atlas Corwin, said as he came ahead and turned around looking at the two men as he walked backwards.

Chuckling, Aaron thanked his friends for the congratulations.

"Treat?" both Atlas and Mason said in unison, laughing over it later.

"Ok, but don't order much, I don't have much left."

"Okay, so let's meet during the break. I have to run for my class now, bye, guys" Mason said as he looked at his wrist watch. Realizing that he was late for class, he ran away.

Chuckling at the younger, Atlas and Aaron made way for their classes.

Aaron Montague, 20 years old, is a young British man studying at the University of Westminster. Always been the shy, quiet nerd who often gets ragged by the seniors, but he tries his best to let it go and escape.

Not like he can't fight. He is a boxer, but he let it go, knowing the consequences.

Can't afford being expelled, right?

The next day came faster than anyone thought as Lily walked with her best friend, Sam, Samantha Linton, through the hallways of Westbridge University.

"Stop smiling, you look dumb." Sam kidded, making Lily roll her black eyes as she sighed heavily.

Sam continued, "When are you going to confess to him?"

"I'm a girl, and girls don't confess first," Lily stated, making Sam giggle at her.

Sam side-eyed her, "What world are you living in?"

"I don't know the world, but all I know is that girls do not confess first," Lily stated, lifting her head higher in pride.

"And I don't care about girls confessing first coz all I know is that YOU. ARE. GOING. TO CONFESS. TO. HIM." The short-haired girl ordered with authority, making Lily look at her with wide eyes.

"What if he rejects me?" Lily voiced out the fear.

Her friend looked at her with understanding as she hooked their arm together, "Look, Lily, I know what you are thinking but you also understand. If you won't confess, then someone else will do it and you will lose your chance. You have already wasted your 6 months and now you only have 6 months and a year and if you won't take a step, then forget about your college romance with your college love. He is in his second year and will graduate soon, then you will be left alone with your dream."

"Don't scare me." The brunette looked at her with puppy eyes.

"Im just telling you-- look, there he is, go. Go and say it, say it that you love him." Sam said but changed her words as she saw the man of her best friend's dream standing alone in the hallways, reading some kind of book.

Lily shrugged off the non-existent dust from her fit and enhaled deeply, collecting all the power and courage, she walked towards her future man.

"H-hey." Lily stuttered.

Aaron turned around, listening to the soft voice."Hi, " he replied with a soft smile adorning his face.

She looked around before continuing, "I wanted to say something to you for months." She fidget with her finger, getting nervous.

Aaron picked her getting hesitant, so he encouraged, "Say, what you want?"

"You might not know me, but I've known you for 6 months now." Lily looked down, focusing on her leather boots rather than the man in front of her.

"And I have been wanting to say this to you for so long, but couldn't."

Aaron narrowed his eyes and furrowed his brows in confusion, not getting anything. "Can you say it clearly?"

"I love you, Aaron." Her eyes shut tight, palm fisted, and head hung low as she finally confessed.

Aaron stood there, all shocked at the words, "You what?"

She looked up perplexed at the response, "You heard me right, Aaron, I love you since the day my eyes laid on you. First, I thought it was just an attraction but no, I've come to realise that it's more than just a little crush."

"I need some time." He said, still confused and left from there with his mouth still opened.

It was the first time, first time ever in his life, someone has liked him, and proposed him. He knew he was handsome and attractive but being poor made him realise that love wasn't for him. Love was not meant for him and that the only thing he should focus on is his studies.

He knew he had no time for love as it was just a waste of time and he couldn't afford to waste even a single second, but hearing a girl confess her love for him made him smile, made him feel giddy.

"The girl was kinda cute." He thought, smiling to himself.

Running back to her friend with a red face, she hugged her, tightly.

"I did it. I confessed." She felt super happy, she was on cloud nine and she somehow knew that everything would be fine.

That her love will love her back.

But little did she know....

Sitting in the cafeteria, Aaron was having his lunch with friends.

Aaron Montague, Mason Kessles, Atlas Corwin, Miles Flores, and Josh Miller.

"What got you smiling like this bro?" Josh asked, grabbing everyone's attention.

"He's been smiling like a fool since this morning. May I know why?" Atlas put his sandwich down as everyone got invested in the talk.

Aaron cleared his throat before speaking, "It's nothi-" but before he could continue, someone interrupted.

"Obviously it's nothing, right, Aaron?"  Oliver scoffed, "It's just a millionaire girl proposed him, right, Aaron?"

"What do you mean?" Miles questioned, getting pissed at the nuisance.

"What I mean is that the millionaire Lily Bloom proposed to the poor Aaron Montague." He mocked at them with disgust on his face. "Now you don't have to worry about anything Aaron. Just ask your girlfriend and she will even bring you stars. You use her money, and she uses your pretty face and this body." Olive left from there, laughing at Aaron, knowing what he did.

"Don't take him seriously. I know Lily, she is a nice girl." Mason shook Aaron to bring him back to the earth, assuring him that what he had just heard was useless.

Nodding at them, Aaron brought his attention back to his food, but he could not let go of the reality that Oliver had just now rubbed on his face.

Lily Bloom, Daughter of Millionaire Andrew Bloom, and he, who was he? nothing but just another person on this earth for whom no one cared.

He knew the difference between them now, and he knew what he had to do now. He can't let someone hinder his focus from his goal, and none of his future plans included love.

There was no place for love in his life, not right now and never for someone who was way out of his league.
