"AARON"

"AARON"

"AARON"

"AARON"

The crowd cheered for the man who had just won yet another race.

The hooting got even louder when the said man took off his helmet and shook his head, ruffling his raven black hair with his gloved hand as a satisfying smirk took place on his handsome face.

Dylan Kessles came to him with a proud smirk plastered on his pale face, fanning the bundle of pounds in his hand.

His other friends came running too with a big smile on their faces as their friend won once again, like always.

"Time for a double celebration." Said Miles who had just came out of the crowd with another bundle of pounds in his hand.

Mason jumped and ran to Miles, hugging him with pure joy as Miles hugged him back.

Atlas hesitated before speaking, "Aaron and I are assigned to some assignment and don't actually have time."

Getting on Aaron's Kawazaki Atlas wore his helmet as Aaron revved. "Fine, buddy, but we are going to drink."

Entering the shared house, Atlas and Aaron tiptoed, silently climbing the stairs.

Halting when the dark hallways came to light as the lights were turned on, "Welcome home".

Aaron's father, Heath Montague, spoke, making the two boys turn around with sheepish smiles on their faces.

"Dad" "Uncle" Aaron, and Atlas came down with a defeated face.

"There was this race and I swear to god, I tried coming earlier but it just." Head hung down with a cute, adorable pout on his lips. "Sorry Dad."

Looking up in his father's eyes, he apologized.

"And Miles?" Heath asked.

"He will be late tonight. Might stay with Darin and Josh." Atlas informed the old man who made his way to his room, nodding his head.

Climbing upstairs, Atlas patted Aaron's back, wishing him good night as they made way to their rooms.

Entering his room, Aaron took off his jacket and sighed deeply falling on the bed, head buried in the sheets as his back stared at the ceiling. The window opened, let the cold breeze in, making his body shiver at the chill.

The day has been hectic. A lot of thing happened but all he could remember was her, her face, her voice, her smile, that nervousness which made her play with her fingers and that confession.

The confession of her love for him.

The confession of Lily's love for Aaron.

The confession of Lily Bloom, the millionaire's daughter's love for Aaron Montague, who was a nobody.

The reality made him sit with his back resting on the wall, as he looked to the left, staring at nothing through his window.

He shut the window, cutting the fresh air.

Laying down on his bed, he shut his eyes, doing the same with his brain.

He looked down when he felt soft fur touching his lower abdomen, smiling, he let the fur ball slide up, coming out from his shirt's. He looked down at the white fur ball and kissed it on the head.

"Good Night, Percy." He whispered, drifting off to sleep.

Too tired to think about anything.

All he knew was that he was going to reject the proposal politely and never cross his path with her.

Waking up the next Monday, Lily took a shower and came out, walking into her closet to pick a fit for the day.

Lily came out wearing a pearl-white cropped jacket paired with a cute skirt, and her feet were adorned with slingback pearl-white heels.

Grabbing her Bloom handbag, she made her way to downstairs.

"Good morning my baby." A sweet voice came as she headed to the dining table.

"Very good morning mommy." She smiled, her eyes disappeared and her cheeks rose like a bread.

After having her breakfast, she stood up, walking to the entrance, leaving for her college.

The campus hallways were chaotic as always.  Students were talking and discussing here and there with each other.

There stood Aaron, quiet, looking at his friend, who discussed the project they invested their time in.

Focus completely on what was being said. Aaron nodded, agreeing to the point as they turned to walk to their class.

The presentation went well.

Aaron and Atlas made their way to the cafeteria, where they found Miles, Josh and Mason already waiting for them to join them.

Peacefully eating together didn't last long as Mason saw Lily and Sam making their way to them.

Mason nudged his shoulder into Aaron's, motioning him to look their way.

Aaron lifted his eyes from his plate and looked at the girl walking his way.

His eyes were cold. The stare was quiet as he scanned the girl from top to bottom.

She looked otherworldly in that dress. Just like an angel.

Then he looked at himself.

And sighed.

A plain white tee with a layered light blue shirt, buttons undone, paired with faded blue jeans.

His shoes were black, with tied laces.

Worn out, but they were fine.

She looked expensive, beautifying that BLOOM fit, and he,

He looked cheap, used, and worn out.

They weren't a match.

They weren't meant to be.

This was just a mere attraction.

Not some love. Not with him.

He tried to convince himself, and he was successful.

Until she came and sat in front of him, with the prettiest smile on her lips.

Her eyes disappear, as her bread cheeks rise.

He noticed how beautiful her smile is.

He noticed how that smile made his heart pound in his chest.

He noticed the butterflies fluttering his belly.

He noticed his body hair rising, feeling goosebumps.

And he noticed how she looked down, still smiling, but now her cheeks were bright red. Not with the blush but with the blood rush.

Lily glanced at him from time to time, waiting, but nothing happened.

She didn't say anything as everyone was there, so she waited, waited for him to say something or look at her way atleast. But he sat there completely focused on his food.

Nodding and humming every so often when agreeing on something his mates said.

Lunch passed and they all got up to make their way to their next class.

Aaron was the last one to leave the cafeteria, walking behind everyone. Eyes on his friends walking in front of him.

Feeling a tug on the hem of his shirt, he looked back only to find Lily standing with her eyes on him.

She was nervous; he could read her, clearly.

Not saying anything she pulled him with his shirt lightly and he just followed.

No hesitation, no question, no stutter.

He just followed her like a follower, her follower. With closed eyes.

After a minute, they halted by the tree in back of the college, no one was there.

Letting go of Aaron's shirt, Lily looked at him with her wide eyes.

And Aaron could see himself drowning in them.

Doesn't know what he felt, but whatever it was, it was real, pure, and right. Just right.

The calm breeze in the chilly weather made her hair sway with the rhythm of his heartbeat.

"Aaron, I was--" Lily broke the silence, her voice low like a whisper but enough to slap Aaron out of the dreamland.

Interrupting her Aaron rejected, "Sorry but I do not have feeling for you and I have more important things to do than fall in love with someone. I wont be able to reciprocate your feelings. Im sorry."

And he moved on, just like that. Leaving Lily alone there with her shock prominent on her face.

The smile on her face faded as tears pooled on the waterline of her eyes.

Pressing her lips in a tight smile, she inhaled harshly, sucking in those tear, preventing them from falling.
