Entering the empty auditorium, Lily got on the stage.

Taking off her heels, she played the music and let the rhythm move her body.

She moved her hands gracefully with a downhearted face, expressing her sorrow through her movements.

Dropping on the floor, she spread her legs in front and brought them closer the next second, hugging them closer to her heart.

Getting back on her heels, she lifted herself and jumped higher with her legs and arms spread wide, making her look like an angel.

She continued dancing to the song, unaware of the quiet gaze looking her way.

The man stood outside the auditorium as he stared at the girl dancing like an angel but his eyes, they were void.

Void of any emotion.

Just blank.

The song stopped as the brunette picked up her phone and drank some water.

Wearing her heels back, she took her bag to leave.

Sighing, on the other hand, Aaron left from there before she could see him.

Walking through the hallways, Sam waited for Lily to come.

"Here, Lily," Sam called.

"How was it?" She asked, holding her hand.

Head hung low, "He rejected." voice low as a whisper.

Sam paused in her place and hugged Lily, "Then don't give up." She whispered, encouraging her.

"I'll not. Not until he loves me back." She chuckled.

Entering the house, Aaron went to his room.

Throwing his bag on the floor, he plopped on the bed with his head buried in the sheets.

He was stressed, again, because of her.

The glimpse of Lily gracefully dancing made him sigh in annoyance.

He didn't like it. Didn't like the way she had made a home in his mind.

And heart.

He doesn't even know her yet she is all over him.

Under his skin.

"I should stop thinking about her." He told himself and got up from bed.

Coming out of his room, he headed downstairs for something to fill up, where he saw Percy eating silently in the corner on the kitchen floor while Miles was on the table feeding himself.

Serving himself some food, Aaron sat on the table and dug in, silently.

The next day came faster and right now Lily, Sam and Mason were sitting together in the classroom, discussing.

"I feel like, rather than going for the proposal right off, you should've just extended a hand and been mates first, yeah?" Mason said with a suggestive look on his face.

"He is absolutely right." Sam supported Mason's statement, which made Lily gasp audibly.

Pointing her index finger at Sam, Lily said, "You told me to propose to him when I said that I shouldn't."

"You messed it up."

Biting her lower lip with guilt, "I'm sorry, I didn't know that...." Sam said.

Interrupting in between, "What should we do now?" The man questioned.

All three of them started thinking, and seconds later, Sam opened her mouth, "Befriend him."

"That's a great idea." Mason backed.

Looking at both of them, Lily pouted, "But how?"

She knew she had messed up by directly proposing to him, which scared him, so now she had to correct it, but she didn't know how.

Befriending him sounded a good idea but she didn't know how to do that. She never had friends, not truly.

She was polite with others but never trusted them enough to befriend them.

The only person she called her friend was Sam, who had always been there for her.

"He's probably in the library right now, correcting the grammar of the books," Mason informed Lily.

Standing up, Lily sprinted out of the classroom and headed to the library.

Entering the library, her heavenly black eyes looked for the pair of beautiful hazel brown eyes.

Not being able to find him, she politely asked the librarian, who told her about a certain someone's hidden place.

Seeing him sitting in the corner of the library near a window with his head buried deep in his book, pen spinning in his hand.

Pouting slightly, she sat in front of him, but the lack of attention made her pout grew even more bigger.

"Hey," she whispered, finally making Aaron's head lift up as his eyes get locked with Lily's, just for a mere second, as he hung his head down again, brown eyes reading the words written in the book.

Lily was disheartened, seeing the nonchalant Aaron not even trying to acknowledge her existence not knowing how hard it was for Aaron to control himself.

How hard it was to not raise his head the moment he heard her heels clicking on the floor, or how her fragrance hit his nose, making him lose his mind.

That damn chocolate smell, he could eat her alive.

She didn't know how hard it was for him not to give a flying fck when she sat in front of him.

How hard it was for him to control his pounding heart inside his chest, which was thumping hard to come out.

 "Can we talk?" Lily whispered.

He looked up at her, "Go ahead."

Hearing that deep, cold voice, Lily felt a shiver run down her spine. The voice wasn't rude or impolite but kind of uninterested, and she felt it.

"I know what I said was very straightforward and so sudden that it caught you off guard. I'm sorry for being unconsiderate." Voice still low but above a whisper for him to hear.

"I shouldn't have proposed to you out of the blue, especially when we don't even know each other." She continued.

Aaron's eyes were only on her, who was speaking without even looking at him, playing with her pink, glossy painted nails with a painted bow on her ring finger's nail.

She was making him agitated, unknowingly.

"So, can we be friends?" she asked, finally looking at him, catching him off guard, again.

Without another thought, he uttered, "Yes."

Her eyes widen in surprise or better say shock, she didn't expect an immediate yes from him but she was happy, very happy, the happiest.

Extending a hand of friendship, she waited for Aaron to return the handshake.

Taking a few seconds, he reciprocated the handshake.

Their body froze at the contact, both feeling a flutter in their stomach at the touch.

Getting his breath uneven, Aaron yanked his hand back with a jerk, pulling Lily back to reality.

It felt like a dream to her.

Being friends with him and then his touch, the way his hand made contact with hers, made her realise that she is doomed.

So bad down for him.

Pulling his hand back, Aaron hid it under the desk.

His hand felt electrified. Flexing his hand under the desk, he tightly fisted it, veins popping out subtly.

Breaking the silence, Lily said, "Now that we are friends, let's introduce ourselves. I'm Lily, a Business major in my first year."

Her smile widened while her eyes disappeared, forming a crescent moon. So Cute,  he thought.

"I'm Aaron, same major, second year." His voice was rough yet deep, as he kept his intro short.

His voice was not irritated, but rather much softer, even though it was rough.

And she definitely loves his voice.

Closing his books and packing his bag, he stands up and leaves, not being able to breathe properly in her presence.

She affects him in ways he can never explain; it's so ridiculous for him to be so heavily shaken by someone's heavenly presence, mere delicate touch, or cotton-soft voice.

All he knows is that he is cursed.

His hand was still fisted.

I think he fell for her already.
